| ASCII History into Omega Research ProSuite 2000i™ import sequence |
1) Go to File->New->TradeStation
Chart
2) Check on <3rd Party
Directory> radio button
3) Set a path to the text-based file that contains data
you want to import.
If the directory name of your data file doesn't appear in this combobox:
a)
Click to a <New Dir>
button.
b) Input a path to a directory, that contains your data file or
use <Browse> button
to select
path visually.
c) Choose <ASCII>
in the <Datatype>
listbox.
d) Press <OK>.
4) Select
the file that contains import data in the the <Symbol>
listbox and press the <Plot>
button.
5) Choose the <First
line of the data file> in the <Field
Order> listbox.
Choose <Month
Day Year> format In the <Data
Format> listbox and press <Ok>
button.
6) The <Settings> dialog will appear. In this dialog you must set:
| FIELD | SET FIELD TO |
| <Data Type> | Forex |
| <Display Value> | 1/100 if you import data of USDJPY,
GBPJPY, EURJPY 1/10000 for all others currency pairs |
| <Morning Session Start> | 0:00 |
| <Morning Session Stop> | 23:59 |
| <Evening Session Start> | None |
| <Evening Session Stop> | None |
| <Limit> | 10000 |
| <MinMove> | 0 |
| <Value> | 1 |
7) Next, in the <Format Symbol> dialog window you must:
a) Check on the <Intra-day>
radiobutton.
b) Set the <Intra-day>
interval to 5.
c) Set up the <First
Date> and <LastDate>
fields in compliance with a range you
wish to plot.
d) Press <OK>
